ABOUT

I have been building custom cabinets & furniture in Portland, OR since 1998.

I moved to Portland in ‘94 from the midwest when I was 18 and began my career in woodworking in '98 assisting in a local wood shop on the weekends. After building my first piece of furniture, the owner offered me a job doing custom builds and I ultimately started my business when I was 23. It took me several years and many late nights in the shop to obtain the skills I’d need to open my own studio, but I did it. Since then, I’ve built countless pieces for folks here in the Portland area and beyond. 

I began by building arts and crafts furniture for a local company, and so naturally I have a great appreciation for this period. As my skills and experience continue to grow, so has my exposure to, and fondness of, modern design. I think you’ll see that reflected in my work. I enjoy creating contemporary pieces as well as historically accurate ones, both of which I take a lot of pride in. I look forward to meeting and working with you.
